Kirwin

Andrea Kirwin is an Australian-Fijian Artist/Producer based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. With a warm stage presence, retro soulful sound and a knack for storytelling, Andrea has been steadily building a national following since the release of her first album, 'From the Ground Up' in 2013. She writes songs guided by melody lines and has arranged and produced her 5 albums and released then through her independent record label, Peace Run Records.

Andrea is heavily influenced by artists such as Bill Withers, Otis Redding, Tracy Chapman and John Mayer and has been evolving her sound over the 8 years she has been recording her own music. Having built her career as a singer-songwriter over the years by gigging up to 300+ shows a year she has developed a range of repertoire that has permeated her own writing. Influences from the likes of Carol King, Corinne Bailey Rae and Norah Jones can be heard in the tones of Andrea's latest upcoming album, BLOOM. Although the sounds and breadth of the Album is in and of itself uniquely her own. Andrea's 5th album, BLOOM is due out in May 2021 and is now available for Pre-Sale.

Since the upheaval of 2020, Andrea has set up a shopfront on Queen St, Nambour and is teaching music, songwriting and music industry mentoring while she waits for the gigs to return, and is focusing on creating music videos and content to go with her new album, BLOOM. She has also set up a Patreon Page that has been an incredible support for her during these times.

ANDREA KIRWIN AND THE YAMA-NUI SOCIAL CLUB

Andrea has been working on something very special over the past year with her crew of friends and musicians on the Sunshine Coast. A big band of up to 17 artists and musicians have been brought in to perform on Andrea's latest project. The common link is that each of the musicians has worked at the Yamanui Recording Studio owned by her good friend and Bass player OJ Newcomb (John Butler Trio, Band of Frequencies, Thump). Andrea Kirwin and the Yama-Nui Social Club is inspired by the Buena Vista social club. A collection of friends that play beautiful music together. You can hear the sounds of this project on their single, "Firenze".
